Who said vegetarian is a requirement? It is well documented that Khalsa faujis never shied from eating meat if that was necessary, and in fact favoured eating a 'tharry' of wild boar.

This blog isn’t the right place to have this debate. I think most Sikhs would agree that there are far more pressing theological issues than diet.

DSB for questions

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fatehI'm glad I ran into this blog, I was wondering if I can get some help. cfsikh, I'm currently in 4th year university, almost finished. I have 99% decided to pursue a career in the Canadian armed forces after I graduate. I have gone to the recruiting centre several times to get information and am aware of most things. Is it possible for me to contact you for some questions that I have, regarding kes/kakkar and some other issues when in the CF that I can bring up with you? Can you give me your email?

Thank you

Feel free to e-mail us at Hopefully we'll respond in a timely fashion. This blog is supposed to help with your questions: so please, ask anything you want.

Furthermore, when you do get in, we'd love to add your photos, stories, and thoughts to the blog. We hoped that we could use this medium to connect as many member of the CF Sikh community as possible. All of them, (as well as non-Sikhs), are welcome to share there stores.

Let me apologize, (for all of us), for being delinquent in answering questions and updating the blog. We’ve all been busy perusing academic, professional, and family goals, (I have two kids so I have the best excuse).

We’ll hopefully have more posts up in the near future.
